Law conversion courses are generally routed via the GDL, PGDL or SQE.
MA Law (conversion) or PGDL Courses are usually a year-long course that gives you a solid foundation in the law; you can then choose your qualification route from here (and qualify as either a Barrister via the BPC or Solicitor via the SQE). You will study the following core subjects in detail: Contract law, Tort, Company Law, Land Law, Public (Administrative & Constitutional) Law, Equity & Trusts, and Criminal Law. Our PGDL Core Guide and Case Book are suitable for these courses.
MA Law (SQE) or SQE Courses vary in length and are focussed on the SQE exams. Depending on your law school, you may need to take the PGDL course prior to taking the SQE course. Our SQE1 Answered Core Guide is suitable for these courses.
LLM Courses are designed for students wishing to study the law at a more academic level for careers in law, business, finance, and tech but are not generally a direct route to qualification (unless they include LPC / SQE training). LLM Courses cover a wide number of topics across the law, both within the UK and internationally. We have a number of LLB guides and electives that might support you in your studies. We recommend that you compare your syllabus to topic lists - and if in doubt, get in touch so we can help you figure out the best revision guide!
Aiming to be a barrister? Most law conversion courses aimed at students who then wish to go on to study the BPC (Barrister’s Practice Course), will find our GDL guides suitable.

If you are looking for a direct route to qualification you have two choices:
1. Solicitor’s Qualifying Exam (SQE)
Courses vary in length and are focussed on helping you pass your SQE exams and gain the relevant skills you need to complete your qualifying work experience (QWE). Our SQE1 Answered Core Guide is suitable for these courses.
2. The Legal Practice Course (LPC)
This route for qualification is still available for students who started their law degree by September 2021. Our LPC Answered Core Guide plus relevant LPC electives are suitable for these courses.
Please see above for LLM Courses that are not routed via the LPC and SQE.

You are likely to need to take the SQE.
Our SQE1 Answered Core Guide will be able to support you with your exam prep, whether you are taking an SQE course or self-studying.
You may find the SRA's website in helping you understand the specific route you will need to take based on your current experience and qualifications.
